Morning Coffee Smoothie

This morning I woke up (super early again- sleep has been so rubbish lately), made coffee and was about to put together my standard green smoothie when I decided to slide the spinach back in the fridge and come up with something new.

I was recently given a mocha flavoured protein powder by one of my clients and guess what, I am really liking it!! On the spur of the moment I poured my coffee in the blender, added this magical protein powder and with a few other ingredients, I ended up with this rich and creamy pb mocha shake.

I guess we’re not all fans of the mocha flavour and if you happen to dislike it, use chocolate instead- you’ll still get a hint of the rich coffee flavour.

Ingredients:

  • 10 oz of unsweetened almond milk.
  • 1 cup of coffee or a single espresso.
  • 1 frozen banana, chopped.
  • 1 table spoon of peanut butter.
  • 2 scoops of mocha (or chocolate) protein.

Preparation instructions:

  • Add everything to a blender and blend until smooth.

I am now well in my twenties and Christmas is just as exciting as when I was 10 so it’s time I go find and purchase a tree and some decorations! 😄
